Semester 2 2010

Starting school tmr in approximately 12 more hours.. I am pumped and ready to fight again once more! This time I must succeed!! Charmaine, u can do it! JIA YOU! Excited to step into school and do my best once more… I miss my family….. good night~

Results

Results is out.. but is very disappointed with myself. Why is that i cannot do well when I work hard for it. Is there a reason behind? Issit the school or it is just me. Many people I met told me that Sydney uni is just too hard (Singaporean will say it is NUS in Singapore), but there are people who excelled and graduated from there. I dun know where went wrong, will work hard next semester and see how it goes. If it is still bad, maybe I should………..give up? =(

EWWWW!

Was cooking for today’s menu of the day:

1. Chicken with asparagus.
2. Cai Xin with mushrooms.

When….. something disgusting happened! As i was washing the vegetables (Cai Xin), a ‘Huge’ worm (and I REPEAT… H-U-G-E) fell onto the chopping board as i was fiddling with it trying to get the leaves apart! I had the shock of my life…. O-M-G! I was rooted to the ground when i saw that fat hairy worm still alive crawling towards  nowhere. I ask my brother to clear it before continuing to wash the rest. After washing i found out there is still 2 more tiny ones hidden inside. So frustrating! Grrr.. no more cai xin anymore.

Ok.. the worm looks like the one on top but twice fatter! I took this photo from the internet, because i freaked out and forgot to take a photo of the real one. When i realised what was happening, my brother already flushed it down the toilet.

FREE!! FREE!!

Today marks the official date of my holidays! i feel so free! I slept for almost 12 hours recuperating the lost sleep from the last few weeks. I am on holiday now. Let’s see.. my list to do:

1. Meet sing.
2. Clean the room/toilet.
3. Go ikea shopping.
4. See if there is any casual jobs for me!

I really hope my results will be alright. =D

Hear shivering..

OMG OMG! I just calculated my marks for each module and work out how much i have to get to achieve a distinction and i found out.. i will have to grab the sky. And OMG! you can never believe it. Aim any higher i have to get full marks for my final exams. the breakdown are as follows:

1. Accounting – 80 marks/100
2. Digital Innovation Business – 35 marks/40 –> CRAZY RIGHT!
3. Commercial law – 50 marks/60 –> This is quite CRAZY too!
4. Econonmics – 35 marks/50

Anyway, i will try and do my best. WISH ME LUCK! *I need lots of them!*

EXAMS!

Yeap! Exams starting in approximately 39 hours. Trying to study so hard and get all the information in my head. I hope i really do well this semester.

Thursday 17/6 – Micro Economics

Friday 18/6 – Accounting

Saturday 19/6 – Digital Business Innovation

Tuesday 22/6 – Commercial Law

Oh.. Please give me the strength I need. Please!

As what she wished, I decided to try to keep up with my blogging system. To start with, it is the long promised 21st birthday post that should be posted maybe 6 months ago? Anyway, HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY TO ME!

5th October 2009

Sze sing came over the night before and stayed over at my place. We DS-ed and watched movie till we slept like no night and day! (hahaha, just joking) Woke up the next day, suppose to go for a road trip but sadly we changed our plans due to the crazy weather forecast. Instead, we went to sing karaoke and had a simple dinner at 水井坊。

In karaoke room, dabao-ed KFC while singing cause we woke up late.

After 3 hours of singing, we proceed to dinner!

We ordered 5 dishes.

1. Fried Cuttlefish with salt and pepper.
2. Stir-fry Chicken slice.
3. Stir-fry Bamboo shoots.
4. Fish.
5. Soy sauce duck.

After dinner, headed back home for a small birthday celebration. They sang a birthday song and we cut and ate cake.

Mid August – End September..

Hi guys, I am back from Venus! Was i missed?? Yeap…Got abducted by some aliens (called school assignments and exams) and now I am set free and back to Earth.

To celebrate my freedom, here is a blog post of the events that happened in my life from mid August to the end of September for all to enjoy!

The start of my 1 week University break! The weather was pretty good today for a beach outing in Spring (warm yet cooling). Went to explore Watsons Bay (please google if you are extra interested on knowing the exact location). Anyway, reach there and the place was so beautiful (small yet breath-taking).

Hello Sing! Sze Sing came to Sydney for a short trip with her mum and at the same time to view apartments and sign tendency agreement ready for her study that will commence in October. Was so excited because haven met her for over 1 mth and a half! Went to the airport to pick her up and be the tour guide of the few days she was here.

After went groceries shopping for dinner! The vegetables and fruits here are like 2x bigger then the ones in Singapore!

Got home from school early today.. only had 2 classes which was from 9am-11am. Went to eat beef noodles with korkor (my whole family loves the beef noodles here).

MUST TRY!

I was studying whole night and did not have any sleep the night before and I sunk into bed right after lunch! Naughty kor kor went to take a photo while I was sleeping.

Kor kor volunteered to cook diner today!

1. Steamed chicken with shallots and ginger.
2. Beans sprout with mince beef (By me).
3. Bamboo Shoots in Chilli Oil.
4. Tang Yuan for dessert.

Had my 1st official marketing presentation in University. Turned out really bad.. feeling so low on that day.

Kor kor took me out for movie as I was feeling moody. Ate Oporto – Bondi Burger for dinner. Watched 大内密探零零狗 – On his Majesty。 It was a pretty funny show!! Good show to catch if your feeling lousy. It like those stupid shows that u will laugh your heart out!

It was kor kor’s birthday and we went to had hotpot at 山城火鍋王.

 

Look at the food we ordered:

1. 口水雞
2. 涼粉
3. and many other hotpot ingredients!! yummy!

hahahaha! the glasses are all in different sizes. The best recommended!! 魚子蛋 – fishball wrapped with fish egg!

After dinner, went to the night market to have a walk, bought kor kor’s birthday cake and headed home for a mini celebration. During the walk at the night market, Channey bought 龍鬚唐，we tasted it when we got home and this is how u look after eating it! UNGLAM!

Bought my brother a shirt that I thought looked really good on him! What do you guys think?

Had marketing group meeting today, thought it will be nice to pose a photo and post it to show who are my newly made friends.

After a tiring day, went for some shopping for my brother’s present that u see above but in the end….. I bought 2 pajamas at 9 bucks each..  and 2 shirts, 7 bucks each for myself as well! I thought it was a good deal…

 

Had dinner, Channey cooked the mushrooms with mince beef and mixed vegetables and we tabao-ed duck.

It was heavenly! Just heavenly!

P.s This is what the taxi’s look like in Sydney. Don’t they look like police cars?

Went groceries shopping with korkor, and there was special on beef steak! Korkor bought them and cooked steak! The fish is compliments by my house mate, Jake (the fish can really compare with restaurant) - THANKS JAKE!

Channey recommended us to try this restaurant near her place, supposed to be fan of Chairman Mao and it turned out to be VERY VERY GOOD.

 

We ordered:

1. Kelp mixed in Chilli.
2. 4 types of pigs meat
3. Coriander Soup
4. 豬油炸
5. 手撕包菜
6. 東坡肉

BEST DISH! 手撕包菜 and 東坡肉!! 10 thumbs up!

Decided to make spaghetti for a change. Made like serving for 5, but realized korkor dun like to eat pasta… Poor Charmaine had to eat all 5 servings by herself spread over 4 days.

On addition, fried my creation – Chinese dried shitake Mushroom with meat.

long time no see..

Hi guys, haven been blogging for a long time cause i have been so busy!!! with test and presentation, reports and assignments. So just some little updates and i will post a really long one with the details soon alright alright?

Mood was happy the past few days: (reasons)

1. I got a good buy for a boot-cut jeans at $4.
2. My last marketing presentation got 70%. (jumping for joy!)
3. My birthday just passed and I had a awesome time! Thanks for the presents and greetings! – will do a post on this. Please give me time. =D

I am so blessed and fortunate to have friends around me, close by or far away in Singapore.

Suay day…

Today is a very suay day…

1. I got locked out of the toilet!
2. Flunked my marketing presentation.
3. Big aunt come visit and everything is in the toilet.

How great can it get??
